This is the expedition that brings out leadership qualities. Over a number of days the expeditioners undertake a significant journey that represents the most difficult challenge for our young people to date. Small groups will each undertake an unassisted five-day journey in remote, difficult terrain that will require each and every young person to work hard as both an individual and as a member of an independent and interdependent team. As they struggle to deal with the challenges they will come to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses like never before. At the end of this expedition these young people will spend some time bringing everything they have learnt about themselves and each other together to propose peer leaders for next year, the school captains and SRC representatives. During each of our expeditions we give something back to our environment. On this expedition we clean up the flotsam on this magnificent, isolated beach.
